EMA has been much more than a sailboat for us — she has been our floating home for almost 2 years. From the turquoise waters of Aruba to the coasts of Mexico, Cuba, Bermuda, and finally back to Europe, EMA safely and comfortably carried us through thousands of nautical miles. She is a Beneteau Oceanis 43, a model known for its comfort on board, excellent sailing performance, and generous space, both on deck and below.
We equipped EMA to be completely autonomous for long-distance navigation and off-grid cruising. With 1000W of solar panels and 600Ah of lithium batteries, we were able to stay at anchor for weeks without ever plugging into shore — powering refrigerators, electronics, lighting, and much more, without difficulty. Whether you’re working remotely or simply enjoying life at anchor, energy independence is guaranteed.
The engine is in excellent condition — only 1800 hours, with rigorous maintenance performed according to the manufacturer’s schedule. This year, we inspected the standing rigging and replaced essential components to ensure safety and reliability on offshore crossings. The sails and running rigging, however, are nearing the end of their life and will need to be replaced before undertaking any new significant voyages — a point already taken into account in the asking price.
It is with a certain emotion that we part with EMA — she has been both our home, our adventure, and our freedom. It is now time for us to turn the page, and we hope she will continue her journey in the hands of new owners ready to write their own story on board.
